Brisket anchors the meal at Rusted Silo Southern BBQ, but the beer selection gives this small Lizton restaurant a second draw. The restaurant advertises more than 100 beers, spanning local, regional and national producers—a broad companion list for its Southern-style barbecue.

Diners repeatedly point to the brisket and sausage, with pulled pork, baby back ribs, collard greens and mac and cheese also figuring in their orders. Mac and cheese earns recurring praise; reports on ribs and greens are more uneven, including complaints about dry or tough meat. Peach cobbler offers a sweet finish. The restaurant says it sources fresh ingredients from Midwest farmers, keeping its Southern cooking connected to the region.

The setting is casual and compact. Diners describe a small dining room where smoke can be noticeable, along with friendly, helpful staff. Outdoor seating includes picnic tables, offering an alternative to the close quarters inside.

Rusted Silo is at 411 N. State St., Lizton, with an inexpensive price range of $10–$20. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; it is closed Sunday and Monday. Reservations are not accepted. Online pickup ordering and delivery are available.
