Sakura’s story begins in 1987, when its Indiana opening launched the Sakura Seafood restaurant group. That history gives this North Keystone Avenue restaurant a place in Indianapolis’s Japanese dining lineage stretching back nearly four decades.

The group describes food, hospitality and community connection as the foundations of its work. Sakura is its original restaurant; Ocean World, the seafood-focused sister business, grew out of that beginning.

Sakura is at 7201 N Keystone Ave., Indianapolis.
