At First Watch on East Greyhound Pass, breakfast runs straight through lunch. The Village Park branch of the daytime cafe chain names the Tri-fecta, The Traditional and A.M. Superfoods Bowl among its most popular dishes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options also on the menu.
The seasonal selections take a richer turn. Truffle Bacon & Brie Hash combines potatoes, hardwood-smoked bacon, roasted onions and crimini mushrooms with Brie and Monterey Jack, then adds two eggs, lemon-dressed arugula and truffle honey; Brie ciabatta toast comes alongside. Double Crunch Breakfast Tacos layer soft wheat-corn tortillas around crisp shells filled with scrambled eggs, bacon and carnitas, finished with lime crema, pico de gallo and avocado.
For a smaller addition to the table, Million Dollar Bacon gets its sweet heat from brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. Project Sunrise Coffee is brewed each morning, while the juice selection includes the seasonal Prickly Paradise, made with Anjou pear, prickly pear, lemon and organic ginger. Diners repeatedly praise friendly, knowledgeable servers, though busy periods can mean a wait. Outdoor seating offers another option for the meal.
First Watch is at 1950-15 E. Greyhound Pass, Carmel, and opens daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It does not take reservations, but an online waitlist is available. Takeout, online ordering and delivery are offered.
