Taggart’s is a casual hotel restaurant in Indianapolis’s Wholesale District, with plenty of TVs and room for groups. Its breakfast-through-dinner service makes it an option for meals between downtown events, as well as coffee or dessert.
Diners single out the Cuban sandwich, quesadilla and shrimp pasta, while the spinach-and-artichoke dip earns praise more than once, including for its accompanying bread. Reports on the food are not uniformly enthusiastic: one diner found the Caprese chicken sandwich poorly seasoned, though generously portioned.
Service is the stronger recurring theme. Diners describe staff keeping cups filled, accommodating a wedding party and moving an order along for guests with less than an hour before their next Gen Con event. That attention is particularly useful for groups and eventgoers working around a schedule.
Taggart’s is at 279 S Capitol Ave., Indianapolis. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and takeout is available.
