Oakland-based World Famous HOTBOYS became Indy’s latest hot chicken spot when it opened over the weekend in Fountain Square. The new restaurant took over the space Peppy Grill occupied for more than seven decades.
This is the fourth HOTBOYS location, first outside of California. Renovations began late last year, ripping out the whole old interior to create a new vibe that includes graffiti dawned walls. A new sign was installed in April.
Like other hot chicken brands HOTBOYS has a small, straightforward menu looks includes wings, a heralded chicken sandwich, tenders, and more. That chicken comes in five heat levels: southern, mild, medium, hot and hot hot.
HOTBOYS opens at noon daily. It will close at midnight from Monday to Wednesday, 2:00 AM Thursday to Saturday and 8:00 pm on Sunday’s.
