A familiar face will reopen its doors next week. Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place announced over the weekend their November 3rd reopening plans.
Kountry Kitchen has been an Indianapolis staple since opening in 1998 — welcoming the likes of President Barack Obama and Jimmy Fallon. A January 11th fire set the restaurant ablaze, immediately closing.
Owners Isaac & Cynthia promised to rebuild, while staying connected to their loyal fan base through social media and a series of pop-up dinners at Broad Ripple’s The Vanguard.
They’ll open at a temporary location at 1417 Commerce Ave until the new construction at the original location completes.
