INDIANAPOLIS – Rise’n Roll Bakery, a popular Amish bakery known for its homemade, preservative-free donuts, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, breads and cheeses, is opening its newest location Aug. 20 in downtown Indianapolis with a soft opening on Aug. 18 and 19.
Rise’n Roll is located on the first floor of the Ardmore boutique apartment and retail development, which is on the southwest corner of East New York and Delaware streets at the start of the Mass Ave Cultural District.
The bakery was founded by an Amish family in 2001 and now has more than 15 locations across the state. Franchise owner Casey McGaughey also operates Rise’n Roll locations in Broad Ripple, Fishers and Greenwood.
To celebrate its downtown grand opening, Rise’n Roll will host a brief ribbon cutting ceremony and giveaways for the first 100 customers in line upon opening. The first person in line will win free donuts every week for a year, the next two people in line will receive free donuts every month for a year, the next 22 people in line will get a dozen donuts and the remaining customers will pick up a free donut coupon.
As part of an ongoing partnership, Rise’n Roll will also present a check to Wheeler Mission for a portion of sales from two soft opening days on Aug. 18 and 19. Wheeler Mission provides programs and services for the homeless and those in need.
